Copper and arsenic ores have been mined for centuries in the heart of Sněžka, the highest mountain in the Czech Republic. The exhibition in the building is complemented by a large number of models of period military equipment and individual fortifications. A unique part of the exhibition is a panoramic model of the entire fortress perimeter (3x6 meters), which shows the entire fortress as it was planned to be completed in 1939.

It is located within the complex of buildings of the Janské Lázně Municipal Office and the headquarters of Státní léčebné lázně, s.p. (State Health Spa), which was added to the historic Art Nouveau Colonnade building in the center of town in 1983. The municipal cinema hall is wheelchair accessible and can seat a total of 263 visitors. In addition to classic film screenings, concerts, theater performances, and lectures are held here, and exhibitions and sales events are also held in its foyer. Audiences can enjoy seating in the adjacent stylish Café Biograf restaurant.

The permanent exhibition is divided into four sections: history of the town and region famous people from the Žacléř area mining ethnographic exhibition The museum regularly hosts themed exhibitions.

The exhibition features many interesting exhibits: a period backdrop with Renaissance furniture from the second half of the 19th century, a glimpse into a weaver's homestead from the same period, restored plate armor from the mid-17th century, rare ceramics, Zittau faience, a cart driver's belt embroidered with peacock feathers from the mid-19th century, a unique three-bladed flax breaker, and an original loom. There are also archaeological finds from the 13th and 14th centuries at the former castles of Brádlo, Bolkov, and Vízmburk, such as a sword, spur, hammer, and sickles.

The small exhibition room regularly hosts changing exhibitions by regional artists. The outdoor space in front of the museum is also used, featuring a replica of a wooden ore crusher, mining carts on several meters of rails, and large blocks of Krkonoše rock under the open sky.

Visitors to the museum have the opportunity to try their hand at working with period tools. In the craft workshop, they can make their own soap, print on fabric, or make jewelry or small items from sheep's wool. On the farm where the museum is located, it is possible to spend half a day or a weekend taking part in art and craft courses or stays for parents and children combined with joint creative activities. Camps focused on folk crafts are organized for children.

The exhibition is maintained by a group of enthusiasts who spend their free time renovating, repairing, and restoring historic vehicles.

At Safari Park Dvůr Králové, you can enjoy authentic African experiences – a real safari among freely roaming herds of animals and the only lion safari in Central Europe. A walking tour will then take you to the largest group of giraffes kept outside Africa or to the rhinos, for whose breeding the Dvůr Králové Safari Park is famous. You will be able to admire the amazing art and culture of the black continent and let yourself be carried away by the thrilling rhythms of African music.

An exhibition of Krkonoše gnomes and fairy-tale characters, including Krakonoš, Trautenberk, Kuba, Anče, and the gamekeeper. Don't miss the story of the Trutnov dragon or how the Czech and Polish Krakonoš argued so much that Sněžka was created. You will see Čertův mlýn (Devil's Mill), Úpské vodníky (Úpa Water Sprites) or the Trutnov dragon with Knight Albrecht, and you can paint your own Krakonoš. The exhibition also includes a café and a children's playroom.

Since July 2014, Pec pod Sněžkou has had a new, unique walking trail for children and adults alike – Putování ke Krakonošově zpovědnici (Journey to Krakonoš's Confessional), which takes you from Pec pod Sněžkou along an easy path to Velká Úpa.

You will find swings, climbing frames with slides, a 6-person trampoline field, air trampolines, summer tubing, an 18-meter-long inflatable Megi caterpillar, a 4-person bungee trampoline, two water playgrounds, a 16-meter heated paddling pool with a fountain, a net ship, a duo cable car, a natural maze, a net attraction with a view for children and adults, a mini zoo with small Dutch goats, a giant Ludo game, a fire pit, refreshments, and restrooms.

The Pecka playland lies between nature discovery, architectural experience, and fantastical playfulness at an altitude of 1,062 meters above sea level. A unique collection of wooden interactive sculptures and objects based on the fauna of the Krkonoše Mountains offers a larger-than-life encounter with the animal inhabitants of the highest Czech mountains. Sticking your head in a lynx's mouth, riding on a deer's antlers, testing your strength against aggressive ants, or climbing into a stork's nest can be both educational and entertaining.

Farmapark Muchomůrka offers the perfect opportunity to let off steam and enjoy a great day out in the beautiful surroundings of the eastern Krkonoše Mountains. At Farmapark, visitors can ride ponies, play Indian tennis, play on natural climbing frames, pet goats, lambs, or pigs, and enjoy lots of other fun activities. Refreshments are also available.

Its grounds offer unparalleled views of the Krkonoše Mountains, including their dominant peaks of Černá hora and Sněžka, and the beautiful Vraní vrchy and Zvičina hills. The aim of the reconstruction of the entire complex was to build a multifunctional Grund Resort Golf&Ski, which includes an 18-hole course, a six-hole course with practice chipping and putting greens, and an indoor driving range with facilities and lighting. The original nine holes designed by Václav Hrubý (par 34), which underwent partial modifications, were followed by nine new holes designed by Golfer (par 36). The new nine holes not only offer a mix of colourfully designed holes and various playing situations, but also open up the most beautiful views of Sněžka.

It currently offers five trails of varying difficulty. The trails are designed to be interesting for all categories of bikers. The starting points are the Trailcentrum Lhota near Trutnov and the Pod Sedmidomím car park.

As part of the "Leisure Center" project, the entire Na Nivách complex was renovated. In addition to the main building, which was expanded with two extensions, an original leisure park was created here. The outdoor areas are adorned with existing trees, some of which were used to build an adventure playground and rope park. Other parts of the complex include a children's playground, wooden gazebos + fire pits, a misting area, and a "festival park" - an asphalt area with an outdoor grandstand and facilities for connecting mobile devices (stage, stands, children's attractions, etc.). The exteriors are complemented by sports facilities, which consist of a fenced multifunctional playground with an artificial surface and a beach volleyball court.

The entire rope park is divided into two circuits – small and large.

The mountain bobsleigh track in Pec pod Sněžkou is unique thanks to its atypical route built along the side of a steep slope, offering numerous turns and special circuits leading up to 8 meters above the ground in some places.

Velká Úpa – Portášovy boudy chairlift (year-round) The cable car will take you to Portášky, from where it is a beautiful and not too demanding walk of about 5 km to the top of Sněžka. On the way to the summit, you can also visit the popular mountain farm – Děčínská bouda na Růžohorkách with traditional service and many homemade products. In the summer season, you can visit the Pecka Playground at the upper station of the cable car.

The cable car to Hnědý vrch is a four-seater cable car 1,168 m long. It will take you from Pec pod Sněžkou to the top of Hnědý vrch, where you can climb another 30 meters to the observation tower and enjoy beautiful views of the eastern Krkonoše Mountains and Sněžka. Transport of bicycles, strollers, and dogs is free of charge.

The original cable car from Janské Lázně to Černá hora began operating in 1928. The current cable car, which is 2,300 m long, has eight-seater cabins and during the summer season, mountain bikes and scooters can be transported free of charge. The top station is the starting point for a number of ridge hikes. The cable car, which operates in both the winter and summer seasons, climbs 566 m. It takes tourists from the lower station in Janské Lázně at an altitude of 694 m above sea level to the upper station on Černá hora at an altitude of 1,260 m above sea level in approximately 7.5 minutes. At the top of Černá hora is the Panorama lookout tower. The cable car offers tourists access to marked trails to Liščí hora or Pec pod Sněžkou. There is also the Černohorská rašeliniště nature trail. Cyclists can enjoy long descents to Janské Lázně, Černý Důl, or Lánov, as well as the 1st Krkonoše cycling nature trail.
